NC Field Trip: Day 3

Dear Parents,

Tomorrow is Day 3 of the field trip. This means that we will in central North Carolina. Tomorrow, we will be going to the Ackland Art Museum, which is located at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill NC. After the museum, we will go to The ArtsCenter, which is located in Carrboro, NC.

We will leave in the morning and arrive to the Ackland Art Museum first. Here, we will have a guided tour of the museum. We will do a lesson about art either at the museum or back at the hotel, depending on time. The children should have a great educational time on this trip. They will get to see the famous artwork of Peter Paul Rubens, Eugene Delacroix, Andy Warhol, and many other famous artists. I am really hoping that we will be able to do some kind of lesson plan while we are at the museum. No matter what though, the Ackland Art Museum trip will be worth it. If you have any more questions about this field trip to the Ackland Art Museum feel free to ask me or click this link for more information.

After we are done at the Ackland Art Museum, we will get back on the bus and head to the ArtsCenter located in Carrboro, NC. Here we will see a showing of “Because We’re Still Here (and Moving).” I believe that this will be a great and entertaining opportunity for a conclusion to our black history lesson we did earlier this year. At the completion of the show, we will head to the hotel, get something to eat, and go to sleep. If you have any more questions about this field trip to the ArtsCenter, feel free to ask me or click on this link for more information.

On both of these trips, I believe that the students will have a great time and learn a lot. Also, I will make sure that the children are dressed properly at the two sites. I will expect their clothing to be semi-formal for both trips.
